absentify uses separate Microsoft Entra ID apps for calendar, mailbox, groups, Shifts, and work location. Open the guide for the permission you need. Workspace administrators turn these features on and off under Settings > Microsoft.

Work location

After you turn Microsoft work location sync off in Settings > Microsoft, revoke the Entra ID consent as well.
  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center with a Microsoft 365 administrator account.
  2. Go to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications.
  3. Open the absentify Work Location app (App ID: 8b0be019-bc8c-43c0-ac17-5114e604a9f8).
  4. In Permissions, revoke Calendars.ReadWrite and offline_access, or delete the app’s service principal.
Turning the sync off in absentify resets Remote days that absentify set. Revoking in Entra ID stops the absentify Work Location app from writing work location again. To turn the feature on, and to see what users do next, read the work location permissions guide.
