Learn how absentify integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to automatically sync absences.
The integration between absentify and Microsoft Dynamics 365 enables companies to automatically transfer absences into Dynamics. This saves time, prevents duplicate entries, and improves planning for HR and project teams.
How it works
If a company uses Microsoft Dynamics 365, absences can be automatically tracked through Outlook categories.
When an absence is created in absentify, a corresponding calendar entry is generated in Outlook. If the Dynamics integration is active, this event will also be tagged with the “Tracked to Dynamics 365” category.
Dynamics 365 recognizes this category and automatically processes the calendar entry.
The category must exist in the user’s Outlook account in order for Dynamics to recognize the event.

Use Case
A company uses Dynamics 365 to schedule customer appointments. Without integration, a vacation entry would only appear in the employee’s Outlook calendar – the person would still appear available in Dynamics.
With the integration, Dynamics 365 automatically recognizes the absence status, and scheduling can be adjusted accordingly.
