As an M365 admin, you can customize the absentify app to reflect your company’s branding within Microsoft Teams and Outlook. This allows you to replace the default absentify name and logo with your organization’s own branding, ensuring a consistent experience across platforms.

Customizing the app name and logo in Microsoft Teams and Outlook

To apply your company’s branding to absentify within Teams and Outlook, follow these steps:

1. Access the Microsoft Admin Portal

  • Go to the Microsoft Admin Center at admin.microsoft.com.
  • Sign in with your administrator credentials.

2. Open the Teams Admin Center

  • In the left-hand menu, select Teams to open the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.

3. Navigate to Teams app customization

  • Go to Teams apps > Manage apps.
  • Select Customize your apps.
  • In the customization pane:
    • Change the App Name to your preferred name (e.g., replace “absentify” with your company’s name).
    • Upload a Custom App Logo to replace the absentify logo (be sure to follow the recommended logo size for optimal display).

5. Save and assign the custom app

  • Click Save once you’ve updated the app name and logo.
  • Assign the customized version of the app to users in your organization using Teams app policies.
